A


ccurate Miniatures are well known
for their excellent line of kits they
released in the late 1990’s and early
2000’s. One of the lesser known
aircraft in their range was the
Vought Vindicator, a carrier based dive-bomber
from the 1930s. The kit is well detailed with
only one drawback. The rear fuselage, which is
fabric coverd on the real plane, has a sink mark
all around the middle and a smaller one a bit
more to the front. This was quite tricky to ill
and sand without ruining the surface details. It
took a while to ix but it good enough. Overall,
the surface detail is very nice with ine recessed
panel lines and some rivet or screw details
visible in places. The cockpit is very detailed

with very nice side panels, radios,
instrument panels and seats
with etched seat belts included
in the kit. All the parts were
primed with Alclad Black
Primer and airbrushed with
Alclad Aluminium. The
