cover was painted separately in the same colour
and was to be installed in a later stage during
the build. Next, the rear fuselage was masked
for the next phase; painting the tail section
green, followed by masking and painting the
two-stripes on both sides of the fuselage. In my
opinion, the green parts are a great contrast
with aluminium and yellow.
After the paint had dried, a clear coat was
applied and the excellent decals were put in
place. Some decal setting solution was needed
to make the decals conform to the uneven wing
surfaces. Another clear coat was airbrushed on
and a light dirty grey wash was brushed all over
the model. All excess wash was wiped of after
a short while, leaving behind a darker residue in
panel lines, rivets, and other details. I opted for a
light weathering on this model. The real planes
were not very dirty either. The engine detail is a
bit crude for the scale but once painted it looks
okay. The engine will be covered by the engine
