(Nandana) #1
cover and most of it would be invisible once
the propeller was installed. I should have
followed the instructions because it was
quite hard to get the engine cover in
place after it was glued together. The
engine had to be squeezed into the
cover and only itted with a minimal
margin. The glass parts were a bit of a
puzzle because a section of windows
have to be painted aluminium On
the real planes, the glass parts were
replaced with aluminium panels. I used

images of the real plane as a guide to do this
correctly. The clear parts were masked with
Tamiya tape, using a new Xacto blade to
carefully cut out the frames to be painted.
Other parts like the landing gear, propeller,
bomb-rack and bomb were all painted
separately per the instructions and glued in
place when the paint had dried.
The masks were peeled-of the clear parts
which meant the build was nearly inished. Final
job was installing the antenna rod in front of
the cockpit and the antenna wire from antenna
rod to the tip of the tail. The wire was made
from stretched sprue. This was glued into place
with super glue and brush painted black. Apart
from illing and sanding the sink holes in the
fuselage, this was a very enjoyable build. MA
