California law doesn’t allow THC to mix with booze,
but the Texas-raised Forsythe, an entrepreneur and Cal
Poly-San Luis Obispo grad, decided to view the restric-
tion as an opportunity. In 2018, he released the Rebel
Coast Cannabis Infused Sauvignon Blanc, the world’s
fi rst alcohol-free, cannabis-infused wine. It sold out
immediately. This hasn’t been his fi rst success either:
Forsythe sold his fl edgling operation, Slo Down Wines,
in 2012, before launching Rebel Coast, which also sells
regular wine under the Reckless Love Wines brand.
