Trevor Rolph of the Apple County
Kit Car Club attended the Sherborne
Supercar Show last month. While
there he managed to sniff out a fair
SUNNY-ISH SHERBORNE
NG’S 40TH BIRTHDAY BASH
The NG kits still have a massive following today.
Early showers didn’t stop this Midtec Spyder’s owner from displaying his car.
Adrenaline Murtaya on display. Pilgrim Bulldog looked tidy. Kits shared space with classics.
TIGER TAKES THE CAKE
We’re big fans of replica kit car cakes
here in the Complete Kit Car office, so
it was great to see Tiger owner Dave
Sams send over images of his recent
R10 themed 60th birthday cake. He
joked that his “newest Tiger would
go fast,” and he was right!
FAMILY CAR
For thirty years, the Ranson family
pictured here have all shared the
same first car. Registered J3 TOM,
this miniature Jeep look-a-like
buggy has seen an unbelievable
amount of service since it was
built by Ferg for his son Tom, from
scavenged parts, all those years ago.
Tom’s niece Lola is currently at the
helm, but soon she too will hand
over control to Tom’s newborn son
Oscar. Not bad for a £150 build!
IN BRIEF
few kit cars hidden amongst the many
classics and supercars on display at this
established show. Despite the day’s
rainy beginning, the show managed to
attract many different roofless kit cars
and it wasn’t long before the show
became very busy. Here are some of
his best bits from the day.
The NG Owners’ Club recently celebrated the marque’s
40th anniversary at Riverside Park in Stratford-upon-Avon
and, of course, being a milestone meet, the event attracted
many NGs from TA all the way to TC V8. As always,
the club took part in many activities and games over the
weekend, with the unusually warm British summer weather
helping keep the attendees in good spirits at this year’s event.
Here are a couple of chairman John Watson’s favourite
pics from the weekend.
