There are more than 5 000 known dragonfly species and the
Eastern scissortail is a very rare and elusive example. It has just
been photographed in Swadini by Antoinette Snyman. It is, as
far as is known, the first Eastern scissortail photographed in
South Africa, reports the newspaper Beeld. Previously two larvae
have apparently been spotted – one at the Oribi Gorge and the other at the
Nkomati River.
The Eastern scissortail is found in Zimbabwe on the border with
Mozambique. It was first described in the 1960s.

The wardrobe, which was previously
fitted to the left panel by the bed, moves to
the opposite wall next to the fridge (which
previously also stood against the panel near
the door). The Penta now also has a built-in
laundry basket and small garbage bin. The
cassette toilet’s spot remains under the bed.
The outside kitchen is to the right of the
door – above the left wheel. Not only is it
a new addition, but the layout is refreshing
compared to existing outdoor kitchens.
A door flaps out of the panel and you pull out
the induction plate and sink from the hull.
The microwave (formerly part of the indoor
kitchen) also sits on a pull-out shelf above that.
The top drawer provides storage for smaller
containers, and it also has a sliding frame.
The water tank in the nose and a geyser is
now optional.

a few have rejoined Jurgens Campworld.
These include Tygerberg Caravans in Cape
Town as well as Pretoria Caravans plus
two new dealerships: Performance Centre
in Centurion and Three Brothers Trading
