ASSEMBLE THE

HINGE PANELS

Join each pair of hinge

panels using a section

of piano hinge and No. 8

x 1-1/4-in. wood screws,

predrilling for the screws.

Leave a gap equal to the

hinge barrel’s diameter.

Install the T-hinges on the

free ends of each panel.

AND ATTACH

HINGE PANELS

Attach the top and bottom

hinge panels flush with the

top and bottom of the cabi-

nets, directly behind the

hinge panel cover strips.

Mount the center hinge panel

on the opposite side of the

cabinets, on a line 1/2 in.

below the top hinge panel.

INSTALL

PANEL LOCKS

Panel locks stiffen the hinged

panels, making the whole

bench more rigid. Cut them

to length using a hacksaw.

Cut a notch in one side of

each panel lock for clearance

Notch for hinge barrel around the hinge barrels.
