I
f weekend projects are your
thing, think about getting your
hands on this Haul-Master
1/2-Ton Truck Bed Cargo Unloader.
It’s ingenious even though it’s
nothing more than a sheet of poly-
propylene mesh that wraps around
a shaft turned by a hand crank. Just
hook it on the end of your lowered
tailgate, pull the mesh sheet across
the length of the bed and load
your cargo right on top.
When you’re ready to unload, just
spin the crank and watch your pre-
cious cargo spill right out the back;
no more tiresome trips up into the
bed with a shovel. If you need to
spread gravel or topsoil, you could
drive slowly and have a buddy
dump the load as you go.
The Haul-Master Truck Bed Cargo
Unloader can handle a load up to
2,000 lbs. and takes less than 10
minutes to install—no tools required.
It won’t work well on an antislip bed
surface, and it may not fit on the
thicker tailgates on some new
trucks. You can pick up the Haul-
Master for $40 at Harbor Freight, or
find out more at harborfreight.com.
