originatingfromEurope.Thecommon
nameseahollycoversalleryngiums,
butit onlytrulyappliestoournative
E. maritimum. It growsonbeachesalong
thesouthcoast,whereit thrivesin a
nutrient-poor,free-drainingenvironment
withlotsof sunshine.Thoseworth
growingin thegardendon’trequiresuch
extremeconditions,buttheyareaverse
tosittingin damp,heavysoil– European
eryngiumsareveryhardy, but winter
wet will kill them.
