Astronaut Buzz Aldrin on the
lunar surface on 21 July 1969,
photographed by Neil Armstrong
with the Hasselblad Electric
Data Camera. As Armstrong had
exclusive use of the HEDC outside
the lander, all the colour images
taken on the first Moon mission
depicting an astronaut are of
Aldrin. However, Armstrong can
be seen reflected in Aldrin’s visor.
