Close to the city centre but hidden away behind an unpromising-
looking industrial zone, La Voile d’Or is one of Dakar’s best-kept
secrets. It has a sandy, palm-edged beach all to itself, so it’s the
perfect stay if you feel like an early-morning dip in the Atlantic.
The beachfront terrace restaurant has good food and great views
