T
he idea was simple enough: take
a basic kit, build it in one day and
chart my progress on my Facebook
page to show what was possible
over that day. Choosing a kit was
relatively easy, Revell’s reboxing of Zvezda’s
Bf 109F-2 having arrived to review and build,
so this seemed to be the perfect opportunity to
do just that. The quality of the parts is above
average, the detail neat and tidy and thanks
to only one rather anonymous-looking aircraft
choice, painting and decalling less-than taxing.
From the off, I knew that the kit would need
to be built ‘from the box’, but that didn’t entirely
mean as supplied, a few seat belts and a
riveting run over the airframe being in mind,
given time and resources. Also, the breakdown
