make some damage in the green and white
camoulage. Small oil paint dots were then
applied on the entire surface and blended in
with White Spirit to give some variety and a
worn-out look.
Friul Model metal tracks were used used
instead of the rubber tracks provided in the
kits, and these were assembled, burnished
and painted with AK Interactive Track Primer.
Several beige and brown washes as well as
brown pigments were then used to weather
the tracks before the surface was sanded
down to make the metal visible again. A
layer of Tamiya Buf was then airbrushed
onto the entire vehicle, mainly on the lower
sides to provide some dust and dirt. Finally,
the tools, towing cables and such were are
added to bring the model to life. Next, some
beige pigments were used to add more dust
and dirt on the lower sides of the vehicle,
adding black pigments on the exhausts, with
metal powder being rubbed in and around
all raised details. Leaking lubricant stains
were created using Tamiya Smoke and black
pigments. Finally, I created a simple grass
coverd base to display the model, this ‘what-
if’ project was complete.
