he construction of the tank
itself was easy enough, and
as usual began with the
assembly of the lower part
of the hull. This was made up from the hull
itself, already cast with the driveshafts, so
all you need to add are three rollers on each
side and a few small parts on the front. The
road wheels and drive sprockets were made

up from two or three pieces each and were,
according to the instructions to be added to
the hull in stage two, but if you do that, you’ll
have problems painting them properly. The
upper part of the hull was in two main parts.
The hull and the turret itself. On both the hull
and the turret there’s a wide array of small
pieces that needed to be added, and most
of these should be added before painting.
The turret needed a little modiication
to accommodate the larger gun, so I cut
out a piece of it so there was room and
secured the gun in place with CA glue. Then
I illed the gap around the new gun using
Carpenters Putty.

After the turret was inished and
assembled and gun installed, I decided to
handle the one thing that usually has been
a massive challenge when it comes to tanks


  • the tracks. I sat down and had a think
    about how to do it in the easiest way, as I
    remembered that the normal model-glue
