uring a conversation with a

friend, we came up with the

idea of producing a small

diorama showing an Italian

Semovente M40,

deployed to North Africa

in January 1942. The build

that followed featured a

vehicle assigned to the

5th Semovente Gruppo

and that fought at Bir

Hakeim, Libya in May of

1942. The kit I used for the
      build was the 1:35 Italeri ofering, to which
      I added quite a few aftermarket products,
      including a set of Friul Model metal tracks,
      an RB Models gun barrel and a superb Model
      Victoria etch and resin
      detail set which gives
      you part for both the
      interior and exterior
      of the vehicle.
