Festool PS 300 EQ
The Festool PS 300 EQ Pendulum Jigsaw is a
high-quality saw that is perfectly balanced
for one-handed operation. It also features the
Festool FastFix rapid-change system for easy
saw blade changes, and high-quality drive
components for longer service life. The 720W
motor allows for a stroke rate of between
1000 and 2900 strokes per minute, while
the saw can cut to angles of 45° and through
wood of up to 120mm.

Tools
Kreg Jig K4 Master System, Festool cordless drill driver,
Festool jigsaw, Tork Craft cordless mouse sander,
paintbrush, 16mm spade bit, bucket lid, pencil, tape
measure, combination square

WHAT YOU DO

1 Using something big and circular, like a bucket lid, mark
curves on the top, as per the diagram, and then cut it
out using the Festool jigsaw.

2 Mark all pieces that need to be drilled in the Kreg jig, as
per the diagram. Then, using the Kreg jig, drill all the
holes needed to join the pieces of wood together.

3 Using wood glue, the Kreg screws and Festool cordless
drill driver, join the centre crossmember to the two
uprights, in the centre of the uprights.

4 Using wood glue, the Kreg screws and Festool cordless
drill driver, join the top to the uprights.

5 Join the uprights to the base, centred and with the back
of the uprights flush with the back of the base, using
wood glue, the Kreg screws and Festool cordless drill
driver.

6 Mark where to drill the holes for the dowels, and drill
them at an angle of about 45° and 20mm deep. Space
them in the centre of the uprights, and 200mm, 400mm
and 600mm from the bottoms. We used a combination
square to keep the angle consistent.

7 Add glue to the dowels and slide them into place, then
leave them to dry in position.

8 Sand the completed boot rack, then paint with a primer
and paint, leaving time between coats to dry.
