The Always Allowed Option
The Content & Privacy Restrictions Option
1
On the Screen Time home screen, tap
Always Allowed and enter your Screen
Time passcode. You’re taken to the Always
Allowed screen, where you can edit your
allowed apps.
1
On the Screen Time home screen,
tap Content & Privacy Restrictions.
You’re taken to a screen from where you
can block inappropriate content from your
child’s phone.
2
Apps that are Always Allowed aren’t
restricted by Downtime, or App Limits,
so your child can always use them. Apps that
are currently allowed in this way appear at
the top of the screen.
2
Content & Privacy Restrictions are off
by default. Tap the switch to turn
them on. This now means in the future you
must use your passcode to enter this screen.
3
To edit your list, tap the minus sign in
front of an allowed app to remove it
from this section, and the plus sign, on an
app currently covered by restrictions, to add
it to the list of allowed apps.
3
The first three options let you block
App Store purchases and certain
apps. The third option is Content
Restrictions, which lets you restrict adult
content in movies, books and more.
