I can imagine these are the words uttered
by Sibeko when he took his seat at the helm
of the exhibition, which has helped support
the contemporary art landscape in Africa.
Cognisant of this pivotal role in the lives of
artists, galleries, collectors, writers, thinkers
and art lovers, Sibeko says it’s an honour to
create a new platform where collectors and
art enthusiasts can meet and see the best of
contemporary African art. ‘Furthermore,
it’s an opportunity I don’t take lightly; it
brings together established, emerging and
previously under-represented galleries and
artists from the continent.’
