THERE’S A NEW way of getting around Abu Dhabi.
E-scooter Àrm Circ has launched and says it wants
to make travel “more affordable, convenient and
responsible”. There are scooters now available on
the Corniche, Reem Island, Al Maryah Island and Al
Dana, though there are plans to extend the network.
All you need to do is download the Circ app on iOS
or Android, set up an account, load it with credit and
you’re ready to go. Once you Ànd a scooter you can
unlock it with the app and geofencing means you
won’t be able to ride it out of a deÀned area. They go
at 20kph maximum and cost Dhs3 to unlock, then
Dhs1 for every minute you use it.

The Yasalam Emerging Talent
Competition gives musicians the
chance to have their big moment
in the spotlight. If you’re a singer
or band all you need to do is go to
the Yasalam website and upload
an image and some music before
September 30. Then, a panel of
experts will create a shortlist of ten
acts to progress to the next stage
before three acts will take part
in a grand Ànal at du Arena, One
winner will be picked to play at the
Village at one of the Yasaalam gigs.

Loads of laughs
The Laughter Factory has three top acts
for its September line-up. First up is Pat
Burstcher, a man full of quirky ideas and
funny questions. Also on the bill is Andy
White, a self-confessed “silly Brummie”.
Finally, there’s Markus Birdman, a master
of jokes and physical comedy.
