LAMBING LICK
PRODUCTION LICK FOR LAMBING SEASON
- Stimulates udder development
- Increases milk production and limits the incidence of
thick colostrum - Reduces the percentage of hand-fed lambs and increases
weaning weight - Supplemented at 200g/animal/day from six weeks before lambing –
80% of foetal growth takes place during this time - Feed until 8 weeks after lambing for milk production and the onset of
estrus during the next breeding season - Used as production lick for heifers during the dry season
