’63 CORVETTE RACE CAR
This beauty is the famous Ault and James H/Gas
racer that hit the track hard in the ’70s and ’80s.
The Corvette made headlines when it almost took
out the ’tree at Indy after blowing a rod and oiling
the tires. Now it’s been restored into an SS/HA car.
Rod’s plans are to replace the powertrain with a
new engine/trans combo and put it back on the
street.

’69 PRO STREET CAMARO Z/28
A lot of history here, my friends. Rod bought this car new, and even went to his high school
prom in it. He then raced it in SS/J and won the Super Stock class at the Summernationals in
1977 with it. In 1981, Rod went full bore and built it into a Pro Street monster. It won best car,
interior, and engine at the 1984 Street Machine Nationals. He sold it soon after that accom-
plishment and recently bought it back from the same guy—no worse for the 35 years apart.
He recently upgraded some suspension parts and has it back on the street.

’64 CORVETTE
REST0MOD
This sweet Viper Red C2 is a force to be
reckoned with. It boasts a built 468,
topped with a stacked-up Enderle fuel-
injection system that’s been converted to
EFI. It’s rowed by a Turbo 400 that then
feeds a Dana 60 out back. Yes, it’s another
street-driven machine that gets accolades
wherever it goes.

BARN-FIND ’67
CORVETTE
This beautiful Goodwood Green ’67 drop-
top is a one-owner barn find. It shows only
38K on the odometer and went through a
full restoration back in 1999. It has the rare
speed-warning speedo and factory shoul-
der belts for safety. It’s a numbers-match-
ing L79 ride that is currently looking for a
new home.
