Dominick Paul Hunter!

Congratulations to Dominick Paul Hunter, our Sunoco Race Fuels Young

Racers’ Club winner for the month of November!

Dominick Paul Hunter will receive 55 gallons of fuel and a 5-gallon utility

jug from Sunoco. He will also appear in the November 2019 issue of Car Craft.

Take a few moments to read about his journey below:

Hi my name is Dominick Paul Hunter. I am 21 years old and have been racing

open wheeled vintage modifi eds for about 2 years here in the Pacifi c Northwest.

Today’s vintage modifi ed cars are the current day tribute to the jalopies of

decades past—the race cars that founded the great sport of circle track racing.

Today we use a stock/oem front clip with an all-fabricated chassis rearward.

1972 and older bodies, quick-change rearends, and 500-plus horsepower to

move the 2,900 pounds including driver. My dad and I put this racecar together

my senior year in high school. We did all the work minus the interior tin.

I have earned two main event wins so far, including one just a couple weeks

ago. I have multiple podium fi nishes and I am currently competing for my fi rst

series championship.
