Lowrider – November 2019

A

s a kid you quickly realize that you’re
a slave to your environment. You’re
too young to be left alone, too young
to roam around freely, and with no car
about the only thing you’ll be able to see are the places
your parents take you and whatever activities go down
in and around your house.
Luckily for Andres Orozco, he grew up in Old Town
Saticoy, California, and found joy in seeing his friends
and family cruise by in their lowriders. It was a time for
him to soak in the sights and sounds; by the time he was
16 he went from being a spectator to a player. No longer
a dreamer, Andres was now the proud owner of a Buick
Regal. After flipping it, he landed himself a Cadillac,
which too would be sold to another interested party.
In the end, he wound up landing a deal on this LeCab
conversion. As pretty as it sits, it was a project that looked
good up until he tore it down. He soon realized that what
he bought was a cosmetically correct car that had to be
redone completely, but the endgame is this pristine
Cadillac that brings him and his family joy. For the full
specs and details on this one-time nightmare, head on
