n our youth, we operate with high speed and low drag. We’re

Yet as we get older our brain’s ability to recollect information
allows us to relive those past moments. For El Whyner, the sight of a laid-
out Fastback Fleetline was enough to bring him back to a simpler, much
more wholesome, time.
For El, the Fleetline brought back memories of cruising in Santa Ana, and
after spotting the Fleetline at the Grand National Roadster Show, he set out
to build what you see here: a period-correct Fleetline that’s been reimagined
into a throwback we can appreciate. With Sombrero caps, fat whitewalls,
and a crisp interior, this behemoth of a vehicle is not only a sentimental
build but one that displays the elegance and imposing size of a classic car.
