“It is a kitbash using the Dragon turret
and Tamiya hull,” Dan says of his Korean
War flamethrower Sherman. He added
the antenna and tarps made from
Kneadatite epoxy. Def.Model Marines

scene at Chosin Reservoir in winter 1950.

Ashley’s improvements to Italeri’s
1/35 scale T-26 include a resin mantlet
from CMK with a turned-aluminum
45mm gun, Modelkasten individual-
link tracks, and Eduard photo-etched
details. After priming with a coat of
Mr. Surfacer, he airbrushed the cam-
ouflage freehand with AK-Interactive
colors. “I then masked the turret and
painted the turret colors, first white,
then yellow then the red,” he says.
These colors and the black X on the
roof mark the tank as serving with the
Spanish Foreign Legion in the Spanish
Civil War.
