Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes
have ended their six-year
relationship just as discreetly as
it began. The pair split back in
May, according to sources.
The breakup news came after
the actor-rapper, 51, was seen
leaving Bootsy Bellows
nightclub in L.A. on Aug.
17 with singer and model
Sela Vave. A source says
of Vave, “She’s just a girl
he’s helping out, ayoung singer.” In June Vave, 21,
thanked Foxx on Instagram.
“I am so grateful to this man!”
she captioned photos of them.
Though Foxx and Holmes, 40,
have always kept their union
private, they did attend the Met
Gala on May 6 together. Still,
“they didn’t put a label on their
relationship,” another Foxx
insider says. “They got together
when it was conven ient for them.
Their relationship
has never
been exclusive.”

lad seemingly addressing issues that may have
led to the split. “I want my house in the hills/
Don’t want the whiskey and pills/ I don’t give
up easily/ But I don’t think I’m down,” she
sings on the track. Despite the scorching lyrics,
another Cyrus insider says it’s not meant to be
a diss track about Hemsworth, 29, who
remains in Australia with loved ones. “She isn’t
trying to hurt him, but she wants to share what
she’s been going through,” says the insider.
“She’s channeling her emotions into her work
and leaning on her family and friends.”
Especially one in particular. Following their
PDA in Italy, Cyrus and Carter—who also
recently announced her separation from hus-
band Brody Jenner after
a year of marriage—are
continuing to heat up.
“It’s romantic but also a
friendship,” says the
Cyrus source. “They’re
both separated from
their husbands and bonding over everything
that’s going on,” adds a friend of Carter, who
joined Cyrus and her mom, Tish, for lunch on
Aug. 17. “Miley and Kaitlynn have joined
forces.” And while it remains to be seen what
their relationship will turn into, sources say
Cyrus is feeling stronger than she has in a long
time. “She knows her separation was the right
decision,” says the insider, “and she just wants
them both to be as healthy as possible.”
