The Kenworth wasn’t the only kid

in the playground with the likes of a

Kenworth T409SAR to keep it company.

As Joe Corte from Catherine Field

NSW polished and preened we weren’t

surprised that the JDN Transport

operator and owner picked her for his

favourite and wanted her looking just

right for her closest encounter to fame.

Joe has been running his business for

over 23 years mainly carting food and

vegetables and doing a darn good job

of it with a 14 strong truck fleet. The

colourful T409SAR resembles a carnival

of fun on wheels with a Cummins ISX

engine bolted to a 18 speed Roadranger

gearbox whilst riding along smoothly,

setting new styling benchmarks on

Airglide 460 Series rear suspension. The

T409SAR is also in its stage of infancy

with only 95,000km used so far at just

8 months old and bought from Sutton’s

in Arncliffe, Sydney. Joe tells us “I

have won a few awards at the Penrith

Working Truck Show over the years.”

This truckie lover is no rookie having

been to many truck shows and kindly

brought along his trusty Kenworth K200

and Kenworth T408 along just to keep

the SAR company.

The gift that keeps on giving was

an early Christmas present. The 2010

Freightliner Argosy driven in by Chris

and Judy Lewis from Lewis Water Boys
