Demons, duds and debutantsTHIS MONTH draws the curtains on vehicle sales for 2014 – who
were the winners and what cars will need a ‘new year, new me’
campaign? Well, Maserati will be patting itself on the back. The
Italians had a bonzer year with sales almost tripling compared to
2013’s final figure. Rolls Royce managed to more than double its
sales in Oz, and the Subaru WRX managed a similarly impressive
increase. On the other hand, Mazda will be happy to see the back
of 2014 as MX-5 sales dropped further, though an all-new model

November, but nose dived in December. This
suggests that by the time summer rolled

as a quarter of all McLarens sold in 2014 were
