both wrists, the stylish
accessories are a brazen
contrast to Nicole Singam’s monochromatic
wardrobe, but she has a reason for such obvious
fl air. “My accessories are what sets me apart
from others, so I tend to mix and match my
pieces a lot; I enjoy wearing jewellery.” Nicole
looks up to Michelle Obama—whom she
shares the same star sign with. “Being a true
Capricorn, I relate to her. I’m quite an alpha and
can be intense, but I balance my professional
side with my playful one,” she shares.
Standing tall in a pleated black blouse,
and her monotone structural skirt by Cakenis,
her style and personality merge the corporate
and the casual seamlessly. Nicole admitted to
toning down her style from what she previously
favoured wearing, in her early twenties, which
evolved from varied eras. At one point, she
was wearing mainly denim and going through
what she described as a racy phase. “But now
I combine being sexy and elegant, and I enjoy
choosing pieces that complement the look I’m
aiming for,” she explains.
Nicole added, “Most of my outfi ts are
neutral, so I would add something that’s
outstanding, like an extravagant bag or even
some unique perfume. It’s a way of retaining my
personality.” But what makes Nicole her own
self? There’s a rare aesthetic to her presence
that’s defi nitively tailored yet honest, which is
an evocation of the style motto she borrows
from the iconic Audrey Hepburn: “Elegance is
