Separately, reports suggest that the new iPhone
will ship with a new 18W USB brick that it
currently ships with the iPad Pro, allowing users
to charge their phones more quickly without
having to splash out $29 for the 18W USB-C
Power Adapter from an Apple Retail Store.
Some reports suggest Apple will transition
to USB-C for 2019, something that has been
requested for a long time to streamline charging
and third-party support, although others say
the Lightning port will stay around for the
time being.

NEXT-LEVEL PERFORMANCE
It wouldn’t be an iPhone release without a
performance bump, and that’s exactly what
is to be expected for the 2019 iPhone range.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will give the
new iPhone XR 4GB of RAM, up from the 3GB of
ram featured in the 2018 models.
With Apple set to introduce the next-generation
“A13” chip, known internally by the codename
Cebu, built on TSMC’s 7nm+ package with
extreme ultraviolet lithography, users can expect
similar levels of performance to the new iPad
Pro. Further optimizations and a bigger battery
should also help consumers get more from their
iPhone in a single charge, and demand more
should fast-charging be available out of the box
with a new connector.
Indeed, Kuo has reported on several occasions
that Apple will pack bigger batteries into all
three devices, with the battery capacities for the
6.5-inch iPhone XS Max successor increasing
by around 10 to 15 percent, and the battery
capacity of the 5.8-inch OLED iPhone XS
