‘I’m falling for Belle

  • but I’m not ready to

make it official!’

EXCLUSIVE

C

heeky Anton Danyluk
won us over during his
time in the Love Island
villa with his witty banter,
good looks and, er... unique
manscaping habits. The gym
owner, who notoriously revealed
that his long-suffering mum
Sherie Ann has the unenviable
task of regularly shaving his bum,
left the ITV2 reality show with
Essex girl Belle Hassan on his arm.
So when we were invited to
meet the affable Scotsman, 24,
at a central London hotel, we
couldn’t wait to grill him about
how things are going with Belle,
21, who happens to be the
daughter of actor Tamer Hassan.
Anton politely greets us with
a kiss on each cheek as we
settle down with a coffee to put
his new relationship under the
microscope. He appeared to find
the woman of his dreams in Belle
when the make-up artist arrived
midway through the show, with
the pair managing to bag a
respectable fifth place. Life after
the villa already sounds chaotic
for the popular Islander.
“I drove to the shops to buy
something for the reunion and
got out of the car and there was
about 300 people there,” he
tells us in between sips of his
cappuccino. “I was there for
45 minutes taking as many
photos as I could!”
And when we mention show
host Caroline Flack’s comments

about him being “better looking
in the flesh,” during spin-off
show Aftersun, Anton asks,
“Did she really say that? She’s
really flirty, you know!”
Here, Anton tells us why he’s
so attracted to Belle, whether
they’ve “done bits” yet and if
he’s frightened of her hardman
dad Tamer...

Hi Anton! First things first, have
you and Belle talked about
making your relationship official?
We haven’t. Everyone’s saying
this “making it official” as if
we’ve been in a relationship for
so long. I’m very much a realist.
It’s only been a week or so since
the show ended. We’ve still got
a bit of dating to do on the outside
before we know if it’s going to
work. But we’re both on the same
page, which is important.
How long does it normally take
you to make things official with
a potential girlfriend?
With my last girlfriend it was
about two months, but we
didn’t have the hurdles that
me and Belle have got with
our work commitments and
the distance. We’re just
making sure we can make
all that work. If we can, then
we’re more than happy to
make it official! At the end
of the day, there isn’t much
difference between seeing
someone and being in
a relationship with them.

How do you feel about all the
female attention you’re receiving?
I didn’t go on Love Island to get
female attention. I know it’s on
a different level now, but I’m 25
next birthday, I’m not the same
guy I was at 21. If anything,
I would rather have a girlfriend.
So we’ll see.
Would you move to England to
be with Belle?
No, I won’t be moving away from
Scotland, but with all the things
that are going on I’m going to be
up and down the country anyway.
If I’m down this way I’ll make
sure I see her and she can come
up to Scotland. I think everyone’s
making a big deal about the
distance between me and Belle,
but what everyone’s forgetting is
that everyone in the final, minus
Tommy and Molly, live in different
countries from each other.
Is it nice to come out and have
time alone together?
Yeah, it’s different going from

spending 24 hours a day with
each other to now seeing each
other just once or twice a week.
It’s nice to FaceTime, text and
miss each other. We’re getting
to know each other on that level.
Could you see yourself falling in
love with her?
One hundred per cent. I’m
definitely starting to get feelings
for her. I can feel myself starting
to feel things that I’ve not felt in
a long time, but at the same time
it’s still very early days.
What do you like most
about Belle?
She’s definitely my type on paper

  • blonde hair and blue eyes.
I was waiting for weeks for
someone like that to come into
    the villa. Then her personality
attracted me even more so. Me
and her are basically the same
person – it’s actually quite scary.
    We banter off each other.
It’s early days with you and
Belle, but is marriage and kids
    something you dream of?
Yes – in the next five years
that will be in my mindset.
Do you want lots of kids?
I’m an only child, so only
two kids. Two boys, I think.
    But based on the baby
    challenge, I don’t know
    whether that would be
    a good idea or not!
Did you and Belle “do bits”
    in the villa?
No, you’d have to be mad
to, with her dad! It’s not the
