‘ I’ll propose to Emma

this year!’

Geordie OGs star Gaz

Beadle opens up to

about settling down and

expecting baby number two

EXCLUSIVE

G

ary Beadle has come a
long way since he first
joined Geordie Shore in

  1. The self-confessed
party boy, who once claimed he
“should have a degree in pulling
    women”, has swapped beers for
babies as he and girlfriend Emma
McVey are now parents to their
    19-month-old son Chester – and
have another tot on the way!
Gary and Emma, who is due to
    give birth in December, shared
their happy news in June and
later found out they are expecting
a girl. Opening up about having
    a daughter this time around,
Gaz tells us he didn’t expect it
to happen as quickly as it did,
but says he’s “buzzing” to add
to his brood. The reality star
    also admits he sees more
    children in their future and
    is planning to propose to
    Emma, 26, this year. Ooh!
It’s fair to say Gaz has
    well and truly settled
down – and he can’t wait
    for fans to see another
side to him when he stars
    in Geordie OGs alongside
    his former co-stars Aaron
    Chalmers, Marnie Simpson
    and Holly Hagan.
    “People who watched me on
    Geordie Shore are now going
to watch me on this and be like,
    ‘Wow!’” he says. “They’ll see
me waking up in my house and
    changing bloody nappies.”
As we sit down for a chat at
MTV HQ, Gaz, 31, opens up about
    getting back on camera and
    moving away from the “fake”
    celeb world...

Hi Gaz! How are you feeling
about expecting a baby girl?
I’m buzzing. We’d only been trying
for two weeks and then Emma fell

pregnant. We thought we’d be
trying for about six months! Emma
did a pregnancy test and then
one day while I was downstairs
Chester came into the room with
a top on saying, “I’m going to be
a big brother.”
That’s adorable!
Yeah, we find out on the show,
which I didn’t expect to happen.
I literally go white! I was so pale.
Are you nervous about having
baby number two?
I was so nervous with Chester

because I’d never even held
a baby. I didn’t have a clue.
But now I’m not feeling
one bit of fear or nerves. I
know I’m going to smash it.
Does Chester understand
that he’s going to have
a sister?
Well, we got him a doll the
other day and he loves that.
He’s got a bottle for it and when
it makes a crying noise, he knows
to put the dummy in its mouth.
Aw! Who do you think he takes
after the most?
My mum sent me a picture of me
when I was younger and I thought
it was a picture of Chester. He’s
the spitting image of me! I feel
like he’s only just starting to figure
out his personality, but he’s a bit
of both of us. It’s so funny
watching him develop.
Would you like more children or
do you feel like your family will
be complete?
It’s nice that we’ll have a boy and
girl, but I don’t think you can ever

have too many kids.
I want, like, seven!
Are you a hands-on dad?
I go swimming with
Chester every Thursday.
We walk in and there’s
me and five mums!
We get in the pool and
we have to sing songs
and he gets his little
certificates. It’s so good
for him. We’re lucky that
we can take him out most
mornings and afternoons
and have a lot of fun. I’ve
really enjoyed this past
year with him.
Is marriage on the cards?
Yeah. I think it’s a bit
weird that we’ll have
two kids with different
surnames to Emma. I
reckon we’ll probably get engaged
this year, but then I’d wait until the
kids could walk down the aisle
and actually know what’s going
on. I want my daughter to be a bit
older, so we’d probably have a
two or three-year engagement.
What kind of wedding would
you want?
I’m not a religious person at all so
I’d probably get married abroad
with about 20 of us. I’m not
bothered about a big hype.
Who do you think will be the
next Geordie to have children?
I think Aaron might be next. His
girlfriend already has a seven-
year-old, so he’s kind of cheated
past all the young years and got
an older kid he can go to the
cinema with!
Do you get to see much of all the
Geordies these days?
Not really. We all live in different
parts of the country and I think
the only thing we had in common
was going out and getting drunk.
Obviously Marnie is having a kid,
