Nutella-Swirled
MAKES 8
Hazelnut spread transforms classic
blondies into impressive treats.
¾ cup firmly packed light
brown sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg, lightly beaten
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon kosher salt
8 teaspoons chocolate-
hazelnut spread*
- Preheat oven to 350°. Spray
an 8-well cast-iron wedge pan
with cooking spray.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk
together brown sugar, melted
butter, egg, and vanilla until
smooth. In another medium
bowl, whisk together flour, baking
powder, and salt. Gradually add
sugar mixture to flour mixture,
stirring to combine. Divide batter
among prepared wells. Place
1 teaspoon chocolate-hazelnut
spread in each well. Using the
tip of a knife, swirl batter.
3. Bake until golden brown and set,
15 to 18 minutes. Let cool in pan.
*We used Nutella.
KITCHEN TIP
Don’t have a wedge pan?
Spray 8 wells of a standard
12-well muffi n tin with
cooking spray. Divide the
batter among prepared wells.
Bake as directed for 20 minutes.
