A GLIMPSE INTO THE FUTURE

L
et us imagine ourselves in the future. Once more the
earth circles on a course that has brought it nearer
to the invigorating radiations from the Luminous
Regions. A different human race has arisen upon it, for
which a new and better epoch has begun. Human
beings have so changed inwardly that their spirit can
absorb the new knowledge of Creation.
Above all, they have recognised that they must
without exception interweave with their life on earth
the Laws of their God, the Laws of Creation, the
Cosmic Laws, to which also belong the Laws of Nature,
if they are to succeed in ascending. Decisive for this are
the three principal Laws: the Law of Reciprocal Action
(the Law of Cause and Effect, or the Law of Sowing and
Reaping), the Law of Gravitation, and the Law of
Attraction of Homogeneous Species. The latter is of
particular importance in regard to the new arrange-
ment of social life.
The so-called ‘social instinct’, that is, human efforts to
unite on the basis of common thought and volition, as
also of the same habits and customs, is one effect of this
Law. History shows that all the peoples have had such
associations, which are known as castes, ranks or classes.
It unfolds the same effect in everyday life of humans.
Always such people come together who have some
characteristic in common, be it in regard to work, sports
or other occasions. From this observation arose the
popular sayings: ‘Birds of a feather flock together’, ‘Like
father like son’, ‘A man is known by the company he keeps’.
In Nature this Law can be observed in the communi-
ties of plants and animals; and matter is formed through
the union of identical individual parts – the molecules.
The same Law prevails in the beyond or hereafter. In
connection with the Law of Gravitation the human spirit,
after physical death, is attracted by the region in which itshomogeneous species dwells. Within these similar
species there are gradations, which are conditioned by
the state of the respective maturity of development.
On the reverse path of the human spirits from the
beyond to the earth, it is primarily also the Law of
Attraction of Homogeneous Species that plays an impor-
tant role. The human spirit striving towards an
incarnation enters the developing child's body about half
way through pregnancy. For this the power of attraction
may issue from the parents, or from other persons who
are often near the mother-to-be. The attraction here
comes about through some similar quality of both the
spirit that is about to incarnate and the human being
already living on earth. The similarity may be in faults
and weaknesses, as also in good qualities.
On this bridge the human being in the beyond
comes to the earth, and under the protection of his
physical cloak can further mature here through the
experiencing that the earth offers him.A
lso on the new earth in the various physical bodies
are anchored human souls with various homoge-
neous qualities, whose right union is of the utmost
importance for their maturing.
At the beginning of the upbuilding these did not
directly unite according to their homogeneous species, as
is the case in the beyond. There the human spirits are
immediately separated into homogeneous species,
whereas the physical body renders just the opposite
possible – the close proximity of human beings in all
stages of development.
Therefore on earth ‘called’ leaders first had to make a
separation through classification into definite groups; let
us call them circles. Neither property nor money could
