ROOM TO GROW
Expansion is organic. The school has
grown 60 square metres under roof
to 3 800 square metres in the past
12 years, and from 12 students to
often over 200 students on campus
on any day. The premises consist of
six professional training kitchens (four
dedicated to suppliers Mac Brothers,
Prenox, Electrolux and Vulcan/
Bidfood); five classrooms, three of
which are dedicated to legendary
chefs Gary Rhodes, Raymond Blanc
and Anton Mosimann OBE, DL; three
boardrooms dedicated to much-
loved and respected chefs Dr Billy
Gallagher, Heinz Brunner and Manfred
Muellers, all of which display medals,
certificates and accolades of each of
the chefs; plus several multi-purpose
spaces like the Innovation Room, Chef
Table, Conference Room, Tasting
Room, Artisans’ Deck, George’s Room
and Ryan’s Place Tree House, plus
outside areas that include the Street
Café Canteen, and general rest and
relaxation alcoves. Many of these
spaces are available as charming and
unusual venues for hire, for training
sessions and special occasions,
launches and parties, meetings and
mini-exhibitions.
