Carol Vorderman
replied, ‘Oh! Hundreds.
And one of the sad
things is that people
think I only ever talk
about the way I look,
when it’s just what’sprinted by the media.
It’s the Kardashians
who’ve changed that.
There’s no other
content now...’
The famously curvy mum-
of-two also revealed she has
fallen out of love with online
platforms. ‘I can’t fight that
battle now, so I just choose
to pay no attention to it.’
As for Carol’s undeniable
brainpower, she says, ‘I was a
free school-meals kid, I got to‘No one
cares

brains,
just my
big bum!’

At 58, Carol’s current fight
is clearly against ageism.
Speaking of how, when she
started out in TV, it was just
herself plus ‘Angela Rippon,
Esther Rantzen, Anna Ford
and the “dolly birds”, as they
were called’, the presenter
explained that, with a dearth
of presenting jobs, the women
had to ‘fight for all that’.
‘My generation have had
to fight the entire time, and
things changed because [we]
forced it on them.’
‘They put you in a category
just because you were born
in a certain year... hopefully,
this is the last battle we’ll
