... AND OUT

WALKING THE DOG
WITH EMILY DEAN
The radio host and author
joins some of her pals for
a walk with their pooches
and discusses the issues
of the day. Guests range
from Jenny Eclair to
Reverend Richard Coles.

MY DAD WROTE
A PORNO
James Morton reads out
chapters from Belinda
Blinks – the erotic novels
written by his then
60-year-old father – and
the results are hilarious.
He’s joined by his pals,
James Cooper and
Radio 1’s Alice Levine.

THE WORST WITCH,
VAUDEVILLE
THEATRE, LONDON,
UNTIL 8 SEPTEMBER
This musical adaptation
of Jill Murphy’s children’s
books is pure magic. It tells
the tale of Mildred Hubble
and her many misadventures
at Miss Cackle’s Academy
for Witches.

QUEEN VICTORIA’S
PALACE,
BUCKINGHAM
PALACE, UNTIL
29 SEPTEMBER
This special exhibition,
part of the summer opening
of Buckingham Palace,
tells the story of how the
young Queen Victoria
turned the palace into a

working royal residence.
It includes objects such
as her children’s baby
teeth – kept in an intricate
gilt metal casket – and
marble casts of the young
Royals’ limbs. There’s also a
recreation of a waltz danced
during a ball, made using a
Victorian illusion technique.

ONCE UPON A TIME
IN HOLLYWOOD
Tarantino has a field day
with this love letter to
movie-making in 60s
Hollywood. There’s
a heady mix of splatter
and period detail – the
backdrop is the killer

cult of Charles Manson,
with Margot Robbie playing
his famous victim, Sharon
Tate. Failing actor Leonardo
DiCaprio and his stunt
double, played by Brad
Pitt, spark off each other
to hilarious effect.

OUT AND ABOUT

ISY SUTTIE’S THE
THINGS WE DO
FOR LOVE
The Peep Show star and
stand-up comedian hosts
a chat show every week.
Isy delves into her own
and her guests’ romantic
pasts to explore the
lengths we go to under
the influence of love.

‘It’s irresistible

to watch and see

things from a

dog’s perspective’

‘Make sure you tell her as
many times as she needs to
hear it that she does not have
brain cancer.’ Milo’s like, ‘Got
it, dude.’ Making this film, I’m
reminded every day coming to
work that I’ve got it good.

You’ve been acting for a long
time – is it what you always
wanted to do?
For sure. Of course, I wanted
to be a ballerina at age five
and a meteorologist at 10, but
there was a point of no return
when I was like, ‘This is it.
There’s nothing else I want
to do.’ I’m very lucky.
