the rooms, an antique chest, a red rug, and a
dining room table were among some of the Wells’
existing pieces that Harvey incorporated, but
overall, she was able to infuse her signature use
of style, color, and balance to carefully curate the
design of the home. Upon entering through the
front door and passing through the foyer, the
prominent windows in the formal living room are
instantly noticeable and allow the colors of the
home’s natural surroundings to create a foundation
perfect for the layering of blues, neutrals, and
subtle pops of pink. “It’s right there in the front
of the house, so we wanted it to be bright and
happy,” says Harvey. “I also wanted to make sure
their antique brown chest was on display.”
Adorned with custom blue cabinetry and
brass accents, Amy refers to the butler’s pantry
as a “hidden gem” and says that guests tend to
gravitate toward it during parties, since it sits
right off the kitchen. She had fallen in love with
the idea of blue cabinets prior to working with
Harvey, and the two decided that the space was
perfect for a fun, bold color. “We added the light
from Visual Comfort and the brass faucet and
hardware to make everything pop and add
sophistication,” says Harvey. Amy’s appreciation
for the area also comes from her desire to use
