typologicallyorformallydriven.
OurAustralianHouseoftheYearis
DaylesfordLonghouseinruralVictoria,
designedbyPartnersHill(page24).
Theprojectisa simple,yetcompelling
responsetoa briefthatrequiredliving
quarters,a cookingschoolanda working
farmbuilding.Itisa homethatfocuses
ourattentiononthefundamentalsof
howweexist,atonceembeddingusin,
andprotectingusfrom,nature.The
buildingpresentspossibilitiesfor
self-sustainedliving,everrelevant
inourchangingenvironment.
