eucalyptusforestwithfilteredviewstoGuerillaBay,

isa sharedretreatbetweenfriends.Theprojectis

anexemplaryresponsetothelandscapeand brief,

executedwithutility,clarityandrigour.

Thespatialarrangementissetupbya

compactfootprintovertwofloors,rotatedtothe

contours.Therotationopensupthelivingareastoward

thesunandprovidesthreekeysiteconnections:an

entrycourt,a balconyatthehighestpointanda lower

court.Thesesetupa diagonalsequenceofinterior

spacesthatoffermanycompellingopportunities

toengagewiththesite,achievedwhileworkingto

a tightfootprintanda disciplinedtectonicorder.

Combinedwiththeoperabilityoftheenvelopeand

rawmateriality,thesedesignmovesencourage visceral,

elementalengagementwiththeplace.

Thishouseisa distilledworkofarchitecture

thatprovidesanextraordinary place to experience the

surrounding landscape.
