Favourite song you’ve written?Although I don’t play
it live anymore, I still love my first ever song, “Broken
Chest”. It’s an example of writing straight from the
heart.Favourite haircut?I actually had an awful cut
where my hair caught fire, then had my first day on a
TV show straight after. The positive part was when
the hair and make-up lady turned it into an incredible
Grace Jones-circa-Nightclubbinglook.Favourite meal
to cook to impress someone?Teriyaki anything is
very easy and delicious. Also, roasted tomatoes with
burrata thrown in at the last minute, served with fresh
bread.Favourite dance move?Forget about the whip,
but never forget the nae nae.Favourite fan encounter?
The best was when I was unpacking my groceries at
Broadway Shopping Centre in Sydney and a young
woman did circles around my car trying to work out
if it was me or not. We ended up having a great chat
about music and the industry. It’s cool when you have
a conversation that expands and connects people.
Favourite part of performing?I love being up there
with my band, performing “Woman’s World” and seeing
people beam and sing along.Favourite outfit to get shit
done?If I’m cleaning, I wear as little as possible so I
can just get it done. If I’m auditioning, jeans and a tee.
Opening night at the theatre, a tailored suit. Sunday
brunch, a dope tracksuit.
jolly good
A ceramic coaster may not be the first place you turn for life
advice, but don’t discount the wisdom of these rather dishy
little fellows. They just want you to be happy and to live a life
free from regrets, which we can surely all agree is valuable
guidance. Coming in at around $19.50 a pop, you can find
them at fishseddy.com

juno + ace
Once upon a time we slapped glow-in-the-dark
stickers on the ceiling to decorate our bedrooms;
these days, we have our eyes on a slightly fancier
- but equally shiny – adornment. With its swish,
blobby forms, this brass mobile by Sydney lady
Sacha Jacobsen (aka Juno + Ace) appeals to our
grown-up and kiddie sides all at once. You can get
your hands on one for 170 bucks at junoandace.com
