you’re gold, baby
There’s no need to go panning for gold this
weekend, cobber – just stop byvanina.meand
pick up the Gold Naomi bag instead. Designed
in Beirut byTatiana FayadandJoanne Hayek,
it’s made using locally tanned leather left over
from otherVANINAproducts, which means
zero waste but plenty of glitz. Swish!

my favourite things with

liz drummond from little may
Favourite lyric? “And in the end, the love you take is equal
to the love you make” from “The End” by The Beatles.
Favourite dance move? Casual/non-sexual hip-thrusting.
I think it’s the most organic of dance moves. Feels good and
looks good. Favourite experience with the band? A recent
highlight was supporting The National on their Australian
tour. Also, the Gentlemen of the Road festival in 2015, when
we sang “Atlantic City” with Mumford & Sons, The Flaming
Lips, The Vaccines, Jenny Lewis and The Maccabees. What
a dream. Favourite thing to do post-gig? Have a nice glass
of wine and laugh about funny shit. Favourite op shop
find? A few weeks ago I found the best pair of pinstripe suit
pants at a Vinnies on the Central Coast. They are the most
perfectly fitting pants I’ve ever worn. Favourite thing to do
when you’re not playing music? In all honesty, one of the
most therapeutic things is writing music, even after a long
tour. I also love being at home, cooking, gardening, and
visiting my parents in Wollombi, NSW. Favourite piece of
advice? Being strong doesn’t make you a bitch, and being
a bitch doesn’t make you strong. Kasey Chambers said it
at the ARIAs recently. Favourite job you had before music?
Nannying and working in childcare. I love kids just as much
as I love music. They are just pure joy, imagination and
creativity. And they’re hilarious!

oodles of poodles

Pyjamas covered in poodles?
Don’t mind if we do! We have
designer Rachel Antonoff to
hank for the canine-themed
winset, as well as Susumu
Kamijo, who produced the
doggy doodles. The whole kit
and caboodle is made from
100 per cent cotton, and can
be worn while you slumber,
or to a backyard do, if you
prefer. Like what you see?

a posy in

the post

No need to compose a
heartfelt message with
this floral envelope from
stationery brand UWP
Luxe. Simply seal it up
and pop it in the post for
someone you dig –
the overflowing posy
bursting from within will
do the talking for you.
(But if it needs a bit
of help, there’s also a
hidden message tucked
away that implores the
receiver to “enjoy the little
things”.) Find it for around

totally

incensed
Remember those little
pouches of lavender
you’d find tucked away in
your nan’s sock drawer?
Apparently they kept
fibre-hungry moths away
and made the room
smell fresh and floral.
Well, these air sachets
are a modern take on the
scented packets – they’re
produced in Korea using
fragrance oils, a mineral
called ‘vermiculite’, and
leftover incense powder.
With scents like citrus peel
and sandalwood, they’re a
real treat for the nostrils.
