B-J Northeast Auction tops $21m
UNCASVILLE, Conn. _ Barrett-Jackson rolled up $21.8
million with 100 percent sell-through at the 4th Annual
Northeast Auction June 26-29 at Mohegan Sun. Sales over the
four-day event continued to refl ect the growing popularity of
resto-mods and late-model performance vehicles. Among the
highlights was a 1997 Toyota Supra Anniversary Edition that
sold for $176,000.
In total, 545 vehicles were sold along with 470 pieces of
automobilia. More than $2.8 million was raised through the
sale of three charity vehicles.
Other highlight sales included:
— The last-built 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, $2.7 mil-
lion (charity vehicle);
— 1954 Buick Special Custom Coupe “G54”, $220,000;
— 1969 Ford Bronco custom, $203,500;
— 1967 Ford Mustang “Eleanor” tribute, $187,000;
— 1971 Plymouth ’Cuda resto-mod, $165,000;
— 1967 Ford Shelby GT500, $165,000.

VanDerBrink to sell 200 ‘barn fi nds’
BEARDSLEY, Minn. _ VanDerBrink Auctions will fea-
ture two days packed with collector cars, trucks, tractors and a
myriad of other collectibles Aug. 9-10 when it hosts the James
Graham Collection Auction. More than 200 collector cars and

trucks will be up for bids. Graham’s amazing collection fea-
tures more than 50 convertibles, scores of Ford, Chevrolet and
Cadillac vehicles, a long list of Pontiacs and Buicks, and a
huge collection of tractors and farm equipment.
Everything will be sold no reserve. The collection features
everything thing from top-condition restored cars to projects
for the ambitious restorer.
The opening day of the sale will feature farm and construc-
tion equipment. The second day will spotlight cars and trucks.
Among the cars up for bids: a group of Ford Model Ts and
Model As; a 1938 Ford four-door sedan; 1934 Ford vintage

hot rod; 1950 Ford sedan; 1963 Ford Galaxie 500XL convert-
ible; 1957 Ford Skyliner retractable; and 1962 Ford Thunder-
bird convertible. GM offerings will include a group of Chevy
Impalas from the 1950s and ’60s; a 1957 Chevrolet Cameo;
1954 Chevrolet pickup; 1938 Chevrolet pickup; Pontiacs from
the 1950s and ’60s; 1956, 1959, 1960 and 1962 Cadillac con-
vertibles; and many MoPars, including several 1960s Chrys-
lers and 1930s-1960s Dodges and Plymouths. There will also
be vehicles from Studebaker, Rambler, Nash, Hudson, Kaiser,
MG, Graham and others.
The auction will be held at 5821 State Highway 27 in
Beardsley and begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday.

Loaded lineup set for
RM Sotheby’s Fall Auburn sale
AUBURN, Ind. _ Roughly 700 collector cars and trucks
are expected to cross the block Aug. 29-Sept. 1 at RM Sothe-
by’s Fall Auburn sale over Labor Day weekend. Bidding will
begin each day at Auburn Auction Park with automobilia lots
at 10 a.m. Vehicles will begin crossing the block at 11 a.m.
Admission is $50 for the weekend or $20 for one day.
Among the highlight lots will be two Duesenbergs with
very different pedigrees: a 1923 Model A fi ve-passenger tour-
ing by Millspaugh & Irish, and a 1966 Duesenberg Model D
Concept with just 800 miles. Other
marquee lots include: a 1970 Ford
Mustang Boss 429 in Grabber Blue
with original white interior; a 1966
Land Rover Series IIA 88 formerly
owned by the 14th Dalai Lama; and a
1971 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Ber-
linetta by Scaglietti.

Worldwide sale to
feature Tucker 48
AUBURN, Ind. _ Worldwide Auc-
tioneers will hold its annual Labor Day
sale Aug. 29-30 at its Global Head-
quarters. On Friday, The Fabulous
Dakota Discoveries Collection will be
sold at no reserve beginning at 2 p.m.
On Saturday, the Memorabilia and
Cars Auction will begin at 3 p.m. with the Auburn Auction
following at 6 p.m.
Heading the list of consignments is a 1948 Tucker Model
48 sedan offered without reserve. Other highlights will in-
clude: a 1935 Packard Model 1204 Super Eight convertible
coupe; 1955 Indy Streamliner “Fuel-Injection Special” built
by Indy car builder Quinn Epperly for the 1955 Indy 500;
