Explore the Swiss Garden at Shuttleworth, and find a gorgeous tranquil
space with 13 listed structures, a woodland sculpture walk, and resident
peacocks and ducks. Encounter lovely seasonal planting schemes and
unexpected views throughout. Created between 1824 and 1832 by the 3rd
Baron of Old Warden Lord Ongley, it is an outstanding example of the Regency
fashion for creating landscapes in a picturesque alpine style.
Adjacent to the garden is The Collection, a treasure trove of airworthy vintage
aircraft, agricultural, classic cars, motorcycles, bicycles and vintage buses.
Events run throughout the year. Free play area, on-site restaurant, free wifi, Visitor
Centre with quality gift shop and free parking. Groups very welcome!
