Thesuccessfulcandidateswillworkaspartofa teamensuringallhorseshaveaccessto

suitablewater,feedandshelter,thathygieneismaintainedandthatpaddocksarechecked

andclean.Theywillcarryoutvisualhealthchecksandgivemedicationasprescribedalong

withassistinginthecatchingandholdingofnervoushorsesforthefarrierandvetteam.

Thisisa busyenvironmentandtheidealcandidatesshouldunderstandtheimportance

ofeffectivecommunication,observationandunifiedteamwork.Theywillneedtoliaise

regularlywithlinemanagementandwillbeabletofollowinstructionaswellasusingtheir

own initiative. Asoundknowledgeofequinehealthandwelfareisnecessary, as is familiarity

withHealthandSafetyRegulations.
