Green Screen
Following the success of the Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5168G
with blue dial released in 2017 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of
the Aquanaut, Patek Philippe released a new khaki green color for
the white gold “Jumbo” model at this year’s Baselworld fair. The
very embodiment of modern sporty-chic, the 42.2mm men’s white
gold “Jumbo” Aquanaut reasserts its young, dynamic style in a new
khaki green design. This audacious choice of color evokes a sense of
adventure and far horizons, while the rounded octagonal case and
bezel combines polished and satin finishes. This piece is powered by
the caliber 324 S C self-winding movement, which can be admired
through a sapphire crystal caseback. As a finishing touch, this watch
is completed with khaki green tropical strap in rubber composite
with a Patek Philippe folding clasp.
Iconic Tribute
More than just a vintage inspired watch, the A384 Revival from
Zenith is a historically-accurate recreation of one of the most
emblematic chronographs ever made. With its retro-futuristic styling,
timeless proportions and emblematic chronograph calibre, the A384
is the final piece in the El Primero 50th Anniversary Revival series.
For this watch, the brand sought to preserve and reproduce just
about everything from the original A384 from 1969. As a final touch
from the brand, the only differences—or rather improvements—are
the sapphire crystal instead of acrylic glass, the transparent back
replacing the solid steel caseback, and the latest version of the El
Primero 400 chronograph movement, as the culmination of half a
century of gradual fine-tuning and perfecting.
A Touch of
Motorsport
Shaped by Bell & Ross’
expertise in crafting ultra-
functional tool watches for
professionals, this year’s Renault
F1 Team ‘R.S.19’ watch collection
is built on the limited-edition
chronographs nade for the
uncompromising environment of
a modern F1 cockpit. Titled the
BR V3-94 R.S.19, this particular
watch is driven by the calibre BR-
CAL.301 movement. One special
feature here is the high-precision
stopwatch, which can record
events to an accuracy of an eighth
of a second, over the course of 30
minutes. To top it off, the dial is
made high-tech material essential
to F1: carbon fiber. Itt provides a
sleek background to the signature
Renault F1 Team yellow and black
colors, plus the green, red and
orange found on cockpit buttons.
