The 10th anniversary of the RBC Racefor
the Kids is happening on 12 October in
HydePark, London. Thecourse involves
afive-kilometreracefollowed by a
family fun day.All moneyraised from
the event goes to support children at
Great OrmondStreet Hospital. Anyone
under 15canenter forfreeand adult
ticketscost £21.50. Racers willrece ive
an official shirt when they enter,and

TheStuartLowTrust
The StuartLowTrust aims to create social and
therapeutic activities for vulnerable local people
in Islington, northLondon. It is run byacoregroup
of 16 volunteers and two part-time staff. The
majority of theTrust’sactivities takeplaceat
evenings and weekends, which is often when
people feel at their lowest. Its FridayEvening
Socially TherapeuticEvents run 52 weeksayear,
and between 70 and 100 people attendeach

oneof the attacks. Itwasunclear wha
sort of responsehe’d receive. Although he has said that
“hatehas no placeinour country”, manypeople are
angry with him.They saythat some of the racist
language he has used has fuelledthis violence.Words
arepowerful.We canuse themto comfort and inspire,
but theycan alsocausefearand hatred.Rememberto
talk to an adultyoutrustifyou’reupsetby thisstory.

Still buzzing withexcitement from my Pink
LadyYoungFoodWriter of theYear win, my mum
andIboarded the train onasunny June morning to
TheWeek JuniorHQ inLondon. Seeing my work on
screen and learning publishing techniqueswas
brilliant. Adding text, fonts, layout andabit of
photo wizardry brought my work to life.Everyone

made me feel atease...afew chocolatecookies
and sweets helped too! The officewasarealbuzz
of activity,everyone engrossed in their own
particular article for the magazine. And therewas
me clattering away on thekeyboard, so now I’m
