oucheron, Bulgari, Chanel, Cartier,
Chaumet, Dior, Graff, Piaget and Van Cleef & Arpels... The list of names unveiling
their most jaw-dropping designs at this month’s Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris’
Grand Palais reads like a royal roll call. Among the treasures, Bazaar has been seduced
by Boucheron’s Trésor de Perse suite, which includes this double-strand necklace
of diamonds, rock crystal and sapphires, accompanied by a ring set with
a cabochon sapphire that once belonged to the Iranian Imperial family.
Louis Boucheron travelled to Tehran in 1930, staying for a year
before returning to Paris with the colour blue in his soul.
Of course, haute joaillerie comes at a price, so get
ready for some blue-sky thinking.
