Last season’s painterly prints, bold brushstrokes and abstract graffi ti are propelled into A/W14 but harder, sharper, stronger. From BOTTEGA VENETA to

CHANEL via PETER PILOTTO and ROKSANDA ILINCIC, the motifs are optic and angular with graphic patterns in tougher silhouettes and bolder colours.

WAR M & FUZZY

Feathers, sheepskin, ponyskin, leather, fur and faux: the catwalks were full of texture this season – everything from shaggy and colourful to over the top.

Shearling was the big story; embellished at ERDEM, luridly coloured at PRADA, shaved at BOTTEGA VENETA and pretty in pink at GUCCI. Skin is in.
