hat will she wear? Surely the biggest question ahead of

Lady Gaga’s headine-grabbing concert in Dubai this

month. For the cover of this issue, the answer is simple:

a pale pink Chanel tweed skirt suit irreverently sliced into

a mini by Bazaar’s global fashion director Carine Roitfeld.

Given that Gaga is making her Dubai debut, it seems

appropriate that to accompany our photo shoot she should

be interviewed by Karl Lagerfeld – who himself brought

a Chanel fashion show to the emirate for the fi rst time this

year – ahead of her Meydan performance on September 10.

“I loved it when I showed the Chanel Dubai collection

there,” says the designer in Lady Gaga Talks to Karl, page

158. And while Gaga promises to give us “the show of

a lifetime”, we’re also hoping she makes good on her

promise to “explore the local designers and go shopping!”
